Private Procini Patch Part 2 A Potted History

Image

These small plump Porcini were picked in mid June 2011 a couple of days after a torrential downpour. I have changed my opinion on rain now and forever especially between June to October! In these two  bowls are about 10 kilos of free wonderful food. I get up extra early to pick them free from the prying eyes of the neighbourhood, squirrels and the traveling public. Occasionally they are liberated by squirrels, destroyed by ignorant individuals or the lawnmower man before I get to them. It never ceases to amaze me that over people don’t detect them, thankfully but the below photo might indicate why, see if you can spot them.
